Just a quick note to commemorate the birthday of a special and, I think, generally underappreciated artist, Susan Tedeschi. She is the wife of equally talented guitarist, Derek Trucks, a guitar phenom whose dad was drummeer with the original Allman Brothers Band. Although not playing in this number, she is also a great slide guitar picker as well. President Obama held a "blues fest" night at the White House this year. BB was there, Buddy Guy, Jeff beck, Mick Jagger and many others were there as well. After this video I realized just how nice it is to have someone in the office who understands this truly American art form. Ask yourself if Willard M Romney and his bride could or would host this or understand any part of what it represents.
